WHY IS THE CHILD SUNSCREEN ONLY RECOMMENDED FOR 6 MONTHS AND UP ?

Subsequently, each product put on the market is evaluated by an independent toxicological expert. As a result, the expert has established that ALGA MARIS® SPF50+ Organic Baby & Child Cream is suitable for children over 6 months.
We have formulated this children's sun product by rigorously selecting natural ingredients while minimising their number in the formula. We attach great importance to the quality and tolerance of the ingredients used. This organic sun product contains neither perfume nor allergens.
However, we would like to remind you that it is not recommended to expose babies and young children under 3 years of age to direct sunlight.
WHY DOES CHILDREN'S SKIN NEED A SPECIAL CREAM?
Children's skin has a structure and functions very similar to that of adults, but some functions are immature. The pH of his skin is higher and its protective function less important; the surface / weight ratio is almost three times higher than in adults: the risk of toxicity is therefore higher because the penetration is three times greater.
Some functional anatomical characteristics are different: skin hyper plasticity with rich dermal vascular network, less thick horny layer, less functional melanocytes in the first year.
The cream intended for the skin of the child therefore requires a specific formulation because if it is different in its structure, it will also be so in its function. Indeed, this skin is more vulnerable and less well fulfills its natural protective function.

For sun protection products, we can recommend the use of Organic Baby & Child Sunscreen SPF50+ up to the age of 10-12 years, the time of puberty, when the skin changes and becomes less fragile.
WHAT PRODUCT CAN I BUY TO PROTECT MY BABY UNDER 6 MONTHS?
Babies and young children under 3 years old are not recommended to be exposed to direct sunlight.
In addition, the child must be protected, even if he is in the shade, by making him wear a protective t-shirt, sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat and avoid the hottest hours of the day (between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.).
